We have often ta-pau or takeaway duck rice from this shop but I never really eat there because the coffee shop is rather small and it is hard to find a parking along busy Jalan Pulau Tikus. Finally, I got some photos when we ate there last Sunday.
Krystal duck, char siew and roasted pork rice is quite famous over here because the roasted duck is really nice. The meat is really flavourful, melt in the mouth and the skin is crispy if you go there when they just open shop.
The portion of their serving is rather generous too. So, that explains the fully occupied tables every time we go.
Beside the regular roasted meats, they have blanched vegetables with oyster sauce. We ordered kai lan.
Do also try their double boiled soup because the soups are hearty. On our last trip, we had lotus roots, peanuts, red beans, ribs and dried squid soup. At other times, I like their preserved vegetable with pork knuckles.
I also like their pounded green chillies sauce. I must have a generous helping of them if I eat there.
Their roasted pork and char siew are nice as well. The crispy skin of the roasted pork is irresistible. All of us were famished as it was already 12 noon when we have our breakfast/lunch. So, I didn’t manage to take any nice photo except whatever I managed to snap while my sons were taking the foods.
Krystal coffeeshop is on the same side as the Pulau Tikus police station but several blocks down. It is across the SOCSO building (a spanking huge new building).

NKOTB – I wish their coffeeshop is bigger because during lunch hours, we normally cannot find a table big enough for my whole family.
