Some noodles from Singapore

bedok noodle

Some months back, I went to Singapore and stayed at my nephew’s apartment in Bedok South. We went to attend his wedding so almost all our meals were either wedding meals or fast foods outlets in Singapore shopping malls. It was a short trip so foods were last on our minds. After all, what can Singapore provides that Penang does not have, and even much tastier, huh?

There was one morning when hubby and I found time to go down to the wet market and hawker centres in Bedok South. We walked around and finally settled for this noodle because a lot of people were eating and the stall boasts of some magazines and newspapers clippings.

It is some noodle in soup. Really plain, simple noodle like our Penang lam mee but it has more ‘liau’ and lots of bak ew phok. Now, I cannot even remember if it is call Bedok prawn noodles or Bedok pork noodles. Whatever, it is quite tasty but nothing memorable.

Now, let’s compare the noodle with our Penang Hokkien prawn mee…

Hope Singaporeans don’t thrashed me for this post. HeheheDSCN2691.JPG

Like heaven and earth, huh?
