Restoran Yong Pin

From the crockeries, you know that this is an olden dim sum place that has probably existed during our grandparents era. Too bad, I can’t remember the name of the road (at the time of writing this) but it is in the area of Cintra Street or thereabout.

They have dim sum and also different kinds of noodles including Wat Tan Hor, Chou Kon which is like char hor fun using the thin noodles minus the sticky gravy, some sticky gravy, soup noodles like sharksfin soup and the sang meen. The sang meen, in my opinion lose out to Cafe De Tai Tong. But I like their Chou Kon, though.

This is their version of yam cake or orh kueh. They are rather firm and comes with thick chunks of yam and covered with crispy dried prawns. Looks yummy and taste ok.

If I go back next, when I am off my vegetarian diet, I will share more pics. Meantime, I am only eating radish cake and yam cake and can’t say much about the quality of their dimsum. 🙂 However, if you ask me to compare Cafe De Tai Tong with Restoran Yong Pin, I will go to CDTT for its larger varieties of dim sum but opt for Restoran Yong Pin for lesser crowds.
