Jalan Cintra : Tai Tong pork curry and steamed mussels with minced pork

by lilian ~ December 18th, 2006. Filed under: Food.

The other day, we went to Taitong again for dimsum. We have frequented this place because the kids like their sang-meen, which is crispy noodle in gravy.

I tested another new item, which is pork curry. Usually, not many Chinese knows how to cook pork curry and you rarely see it. My mom did cook some kick-ass pork curry before but unfortunately, I did not get the recipe from her. Pork curry has milder spices but taste very good if cooked right.

They served the curry with two steamed white buns - mantou. All of us sweep clean the bowl of gravy. :P

What’s a dimsum session without some har-gau, i.e. steamed prawn dumplings, right?

And this is my all-time favourite dimsum dish from Taitong - steamed green lip mussels with minced pork, topped with lots of garlic:

I am so obsessed with the mussels I think I will just make it as my desktop.

I have featured Cafe De Tai Tong several times on this blog. So, if you like please use the Google button on my side bar to look for the related posts, ok?
